About Bianca McLeish, Founder of The Teacher Wellbeing Academy

Bianca is a school wellbeing consultant, and former teacher with over 20 years of classroom experience. Her journey was reshaped by personal burnout, sparking a deep dive into neuroscience, psychology, and Positive Education.

Holding a Master of Education in Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing, Bianca blends research with lived experience to offer practical, compassionate strategies that help educators regulate stress, restore balance, and reconnect with their purpose - creating sustainable wellbeing across school communities.

My vision: Helping Educators Thrive with Compassionate, Evidence-Informed Wellbeing Support

My vision is sustainable wellbeing - rooted in neuroscience, practical strategies, and the belief that teachers should feel safe, supported and empowered. Through evidence-informed nervous system regulation and practical wellbeing strategies, The Teacher Wellbeing Academy helps teachers move from burnout to balance - creating sustainable change in schools and beyond.

values embeded in all we do

So educators feel seen and supported

  • Compassion

I honour educators with empathy and non-judgment, helping them cultivate the self-compassion they so often give to others.

  • Empowerment

I empower educators with the tools and insight to take ownership of their wellbeing journey - grounded in research, reflection, and care.

  • Sustainability

I prioritise practices that nurture educators’ wellbeing over time - not quick fixes, but lasting support for real classrooms and real lives.

I’m a teacher at heart and a wellbeing consultant by mission - dedicated to helping educators thrive.

I had wanted to be a teacher my whole life. My purpose was to help students reach their full potential. But over time, I lost direction. Chronic stress crept in quietly, until I was running on empty. I gave endlessly, until all that remained were feelings of self-doubt, cynicism, and emotional exhaustion. I didn’t know it then, but I was experiencing burnout.

Then everything shifted - not my job, but my approach. I discovered tools grounded in neuroscience and Positive Psychology that helped me regulate my nervous system and reclaim my wellbeing. The demands didn’t change, but I did. I stayed in the same role, at the same school, but with clearer boundaries, renewed energy, and a deeper connection to my students.

That journey inspired me to write the ‘Teacher Wellbeing Transformed’ and create The Teacher Wellbeing Academy.

I founded The Teacher Wellbeing Academy to support educators who feel like they’re drowning in the very work that once lit them up. If you’re burnt out, disillusioned, or ready to walk away - I see you. Before you leave, I invite you to pause. To reflect. To try something different.

Because your wellbeing matters. And you don’t have to do this alone.
